Joe have you ever been on the
Coral Sea, how is it, if you been,??
You'll have a great trip Gerry, Jason Diamond owns the operation and usually runs trips weekdays. Old school San Diego captain who came up with Mike Lackey back in the day. He came to Santa Barbara 26 years ago bringing the SD sportfishing customer service with him and took out the competition in short order. The Coral Sea is a bit high off the water and is a bit rolly but the upside is the boat helps work your jig. Plenty of room to move around. As stated, they usually fish Rosa's west end with a 2.5 hr. run to the grounds. Just about every drop is a bite when it's on. Keep your rigging simple and listen to the crew. They have it dialed in and produce results. Be sure to bring a setup with 30# spectra so you can get down with 2-4 oz jigs, swimbaits, and FF's. Also a couple of 6-10 ounce torpedo's and hooks. skip the swivels, makes clearing tangles much easier. The only thing that will suck is the drive home. Have fun time and Happy Birthday!

My son I went on Coral sea’s first trip back.
Easy limits on nice quality Reds, fishing 270-300 feet.
As usual, great service from the crew of Martin, Travis, Josh and of course captain Rafa.
Awesome trip just getting out on the water.

good luck hope you come home with a fat sack and virus freeLOL
I went on the Coral Sea Yesterday, with A friend,
we headed out with only 21 Anglers and that made it nice ,
to spread out , and helped keep tangles to A minimum ,
we only had fresh frozen Squid , no live
bait, fishing started out slow,
but we moved around A lot , to scratch out limits,
It was A great way to spend my Birthday on the water,
and get away from all the media crap,
and they really enforced having A mask on,
and only allowed 2 at at time down in the Galley,
and sprayed the restroom, after each use,
I posted this for you worry Lords.

for the Reds ,just use A double Dropper loop,
with A 3/0 hook, and just one strip of Squid, with A 12 OZ sinker ,
and you should do well , if there biting.
