Impossible to create even a tentative plan this far out.
"Possible" destinations include Alijos, The Ridge, Uncle Sam, Guadalupe, San Pablo, Natividad, Canoas, and several more.
Plus, there is always the potential for local bluefin to be happening on those dates.
Interestingly, the Ranger Bank just showed back up on the radar as a potential December spot, after several years of being mostly ignored.

I can't believe this trip hasn't sold out already. It is one of the best trips around. There is always a very good group of anglers on the trip and Steve Carson has tons of prizes plus loaner outfits for everyone on the trip. Every year the boat puts together a great trip either to Guadalupe or the ridge and rocks plus recently it has been extended to an 8 day for the same price as the 7 day in prior years.

I'm hoping to finally get to Guadalupe, but either way it feels good to get a longer one on the calendar, especially during these new year doldrums

Hi all, Just curious if someone would be nice enough to explain 8 day limits? The only limit i currently know is 2 bft per day... yellowtail? yellowfin?wahoo if lucky? thanks

You are allowed 3 days limits, even if the trip is longer than 3 days.
Yellowtail, wahoo, yellowfin, etc. are 5 per day [maximum 15 per species trip]. No more than 30 cumulative of all species per trip.
Dorado and bluefin are 2 per day, and the 2 counts as 5 against your total limit.
On this trip for example, you could have 6 bluefin, 2 yellowfin, 1 wahoo, and 12 yellowtail.

Last years trip the fishing was off the hook for YFT everyone limited on YFT. Plus we averaged about 7-10 YT, than we filled our limit with lingcod
