Heard about all the Ahi coming up on Friday during Haleiwa tournament so decided to leave early on Saturday to get to the area before the tournament started. Got there and good amount of non tournament boats in the area too. Trolled around saw some boats stop every once in a while but nothing like Friday. Friend from Kaneohe picked up 2 but no luck for us. After a few hours in the crowd decided to start working back to Kaneohe. Passed a bouy along the way and a pile or two but no love. Pointed the bow to the head bouy and started cleaning up. Sent a text to my friend that I was done and going to reel up and motor in. Not 5 seconds after hitting send rigger slammed down. Cleared lines got everything ready and brought this guy over the side and into our box. Not a huge one but at least saved the day for us. Hopefully this weather clears up so we can get back out there. Never give up, just have to run them over.
