Took advantage of the break in the weather and hit some stones in the bay. Cold water 53.6 degrees and crawl was slow initially, then picked up and I was back at the dock with my limits by 9:30pm. No monsters, just cookie cutter meatballs. Ratio was about 6 to 1 on the shorts to legals. Macs in the bait cages. Seemed like a decent number of folks out enjoying the evening on the Santa Monica pier. Depth varied from 20-90 feet. No variance in production of legals shallow vs. deep. Only bummer of the whole day was finding out my bottom cleaning guy decided to take a month off and my boat doesn't have bottom paint. So fuel efficiency was not ideal with 7 weeks of growth. So I guess he has his hands full today gettting the hull clean after an ear full from me..... Weather should be nice for anther week or so, get out and get some eats boys.
