I haven't done much searching but I think locally tested is better anyways.

I was out with Mark a couple of years ago and his crew used the snips for tending line.

When I was out with Patrick a couple months ago Daniel and I were tending gear when he asked "don't you have some of these yet?"

I'm talking about those mini scissors on a retractable lanyard.

Looks like prices start around $10

Is there an overwhelming best choice on these or are they all going to get the job done?

Exactly. I keep them on my belt and in a cup holder just inside the cabin and they last a bit. WD40 helps. The ones on my river sled last long. But throwaway.

Or I can repeat history and just buy another pair.They do work nice!
