My brother was in town so we decided to take a shot at some lings - ended up having a decent pick although nothing too large. Water has warmed - 69 degrees in some places which may have slowed things down a bit while they adjust. All fish on the large swimbaits 70-90' of water mid bay.

On the board with a dodger blue ling:

Bro with a decent 6.5 lb:

Found out they've got a guest dock at killer shrimp - good beer selection and decent food - not a bad way to end the trip:

Wife joined for a harbor cruise - getting close! If all goes according to plan I'll have a new fishing buddy next month!

Fun times - ended up with 6 lings to 7.5, couple of sandies and sculpin. I'd say things are looking up. Saw a bunch of birds working a mile or two off Ocean Park and lots of bait all over the bay.

    Have a good week.

Great stuff. My wife always wanted to take the boat to killer shrimp....something about docking up to a restaurant that she thinks is neat (we never did it though...lol).

Congrats on the baby. I fish more now than I did before.....mostly becuase my daughter demands being outside constantly. I can't wait until she is able to hold a rod and reel.

Picture reminds me of 10 years ago when my wife was way overdue with our daughter. Cruised out to the whistler buoy and back. She popped the next day!

loving the idea of more kids fishing! I remember taking my oldest out out for the first time. Hes now 13 going on 14. Hes taking the boat off at the ramp while I park the truck. Hes driving us around whenever he can. its good times.
my other 2 are spoiled by big brother.
Congrats and great luck with the newborn and wifey. If it is ever easy, it isn't real. so please dont give up!
