I finally got a 'smart' phone a few months ago and am just now getting around to putting some apps on it.

    So far:

    Compass
    Wa State Park app (nice)
    Star Chart
    Navigation
Gas Buddy (gas prices from wherever you are)
    Pinball

    What else is good?

    Especially what's useful for fishing?

Also you can download all the f and w regulations so you always have them on quickdraw, no more water logged reg books.

Bouyweather - great for offshore tide forecasts. Always good to have several tide forecasts to compare.

Not sure if there's an app for it, but I have a website bookmarked on my phone for NOAA's National Data Buoy Center. Can get real time data on sea states, winds, temps, pressure, etc. Pretty handy web page.

Here's the link to Buoy 46029 (20NM West of the Columbia River mouth). http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=46029

The phone number to NOAA's Dial-A-Buoy (which gives real-time recorded info similar to what you get on the webpage) is
    (888) 701-8992.
