Had a little time to kill, so headed out to Izor's leaving the Huntington harbor around 8am.. Cloudy, overcast day with water temps in the 60-61F range, but calm seas with just a slight breeze.

Arrived at Izor's with some other PBs, but no party boats in sight. Fishing was slow, hit several rocks for little to nothing to show for it. Did manage to scratch one 19-20" sandie along with a few shorts. The larger one spit up tons of red crab.

    (Reason for the slow bite?)

Back in the barn by noon.

Izor's has lot's of fish on many rocks and reef's, yet they have lockjaw for whatever reason for the last couple of month's. I assume the Red Crab has kept them lazy and non aggressive. It should change soon, if the red crab leave? We spent an hour there on Saturday, hit numerous rocks and reefs, metering tons of fsh and caught one 10 inch Calico Bass for our efforts, no good!

Thanks for the report. There is nothing wrong with Ugly Sticks, I admit I have 3 of them for freshwater fishing! :D

Nice effort, looks like you went bendo at least once,I’m sure the influx of red crabs could effect the bite, thanks for info!
