Launched out of dana point, packed my bait tanks with a scoop and a half of primo bait and headed out.Charged out to the 209 looked around for a while seemed void of life at the time so started towards the 277.Found a kelp outside of the little fleet of boats that were drifting a mile away brailed some bait and after a little while got bit.It took us a couple different drifts to really get them stuck to us but after a while it was on us good.Mostly fished 20lb and small hook but got a couple on 30.Had 3 and 4 going with boils around the boat.We ended up going 13 for 19 and ran out of bait with them still on us.This trip was just what I needed after a tough year on my boat. The clown show found redemption today and it was good.My 9 year old pinned a bait on himself and got a nice one ,proud dad moment! 20161023_120230.jpg 20161023_120409.jpg 20161023_120425.jpg

You guys hit it.. Nice haul, & specially for your son. Wish my Daddy would have taken me on a tuna/alby trip when that age. I was good at surf fishin, but never seemed to go with Dad. He went with business associates and brought home fish .He was good & loved light line stuff. But that was in the '50s. He taught me, and I learned. Now, more fishin and less surfing. Nice day at the office.:git::urno1:
