The project is to get better drainage in the foot well of the fly bridge before I put the boat in the water. The boat has been a project since its sea trial so I don't know the best position for the drain.
At rest in a slip with a 280 hp, 290 duo prop, with medium fuel, would the water in the foot well collect towards the bow or stern?
I was going to put it somewhere on the starboard side with a shut off valve and a removable hose that will drain into the sink.
Thanks

My 262 has two drains in that area in the aft corners of the area you call the foot well. Seems to be ok there. Never accumulates water unless its on the trailer with a forward lean, but when in the water never!

Ehhh? Sounds like something else is up, or you get lots of water up there. The "foot well" in the flybridge should drain on both sides above the windows where the bridge portion is fastened to the topdeck portion of the hull.

Check if you have crap clogging the drains.

Good luck, Eric

Mine must be different.
I investigated the drainage because my interior florescent lights mounted to the cabin roof were rusty and water got in them when the boat was washed. I'll assume the FB fasteners do as well. The paneling around the FB is tight to the floor with no visible drain. With the waterline stripe level the FB floor tilts to the bow and there was a pile of dried crud up front behind the paneling. I can see were the water will escape at the aft of the foot well behind the paneling. This seems like a cheesy solution especially with 19yo windows that have no access to their tops for a re-caulk. Could you explain the drain you have?
Thanks

MP,
Here's how mine drains. It's a 1990 btw. The drains are on the aft part of the footwell port and starboard. The pictures should explain it.

Does that help?
