What I mean to say is if you need to remove the transducer, it's because the ducer is obsolete or broken, for the most part, so damaging it with heat isn't an issue. Unless you're worried about reselling the thru hull transducer, I don't think using heat would be a problem.
new transducer, warranty's and heat don't like each other......

been doing this for decades,, go put a heat gun to your transducer then , lol!
I'd be willing to bet that many bilges in dry dock or on a trailer in the sun get upwards of 130 degrees on really hot days. It just so happens that 130 degrees is all you need to remove 5200. So unless every thru hull ducer is destroyed every time a bilge gets that hot, I think you'll be okay bud.

    maybe everyone's right?

most electronics don't benefit from high heat. so if you must use a heat gun, be carefull!

more than likely, if your removing a transducer, its because it needs to be replaced, so damaging it won't matter, you can't break it twice.

or you can add this to your arsenal.....

never used it, but the internet says it works:D

That's all I was saying haha. Using 520 isn't a big deal because in most cases heat can't break it again or you can use a different method.

I've heard of that stuff, want to try it!
