And Commend the Capt for saving the logs from Certain Sinking. They tied ropes to the logs to replace the Steel Cables that the boat snapped.

Bad Boat:cussing: but great Capt. for saving the logs.:frehya2::beerbang:

So much for red right returning..

Are those logs always there or where they being barged in/out. Sometimes we become creatures of habit with our navigational course of travel and don't keep a keen eye on the horizon.

And from experience those spot lights mounted in front of the FLIR suck ass. The light hits the bow and washes everything out. 90% of the time I run at night with the FLIR and no spot light.

And that boat is fine. There's so much damn aluminum on those boats you cant really hurt them. On the other hand the motors are shot though, but from the looks they needed replacing anyway.

Not sure about Skagit but everyone that runs our boats goes to the week long State operators course. We just don't give the keys to anyone that wants to drive.

While it is frustrating to look at, the best we can do is learn from others mistakes. Much cheaper education.

Stuff happens. From what I can tell from the pic, hull looks pretty good. That solid collar also looks pretty good. Not a bad testimony for their product.
