Hey guys, Wanted to get some advice on what to use to fill the bottom half of my deckhand rod from the reel down. I rewrapped the cork tape, then added some Xwrap for where I plan to seat the reel. Also added Winn overwrap above on the foregrip. The bottom feels 'naked' so I was thinking maybe some tuna cord or 550 paracord might be a nice finishing touch. I suppose I could putt more Winn grip but I think it would be cool to change it up, and also save the Winn grip for use on other rods too. I saw a video too of a guy who installed tuna cord and drilled a hole through the rod to better lock the cord in place. I'd like to avoid doing that - I saw this video that looks like a pretty clean install. I don't need to do any fancy wraps or anything but if it's not that hard to do a more 'stable' type of wrap that has better grip, I'm all ears.
