So, while we wait for the next time we can go fishing, might as well look back and enjoy some of this year's memorable catches. I was wondering if you fellow BD'ers out there are interested in sharing some pics of your best catches in 2009. Although 2009 has not been my greatest year for fishing overall, there was still some great catches that I'll remember for a long time....like my 75lb Ono caught this past May. Is anybody else game? Maybe we can call it the Best of BloodyDecks 2009! Here's mine.....;)

Shoot, I might have to go back to 2008 to find any pics that are worth a shit, ha ha. Here are a couple of memorable ones for me. first is the smallest fish I've ever caught on a 14" lure. It weighed in at a whopping 12lbs. The other memorable one wasn't caught by me but it sure as hell was the biggest fish I've ever seen. Way to go Maggie Joe. and the third pic was probably the most useful thing I did with my boat this summer, Sandbar!

Well, 2009 was a good year for many reasons -- family and fishing wise. I learned a lot from my own experiences and getting to fish with others. There is one day however that does stick out in my mind, and that would be the day we went fishing with one goal in mind: catch a big eye tuna for new years. Although the fish was caught on Dec 30, 2008, it was consumed January 1, 2009 so I think it still counts. What a way to start off the new year!

Catching a Pao Pao (Golden Trevally) on the flats in April 2009! First and only one I ever caught over ten pounds. Want to catch more but not easy to do. Anybody have any tips?

Hey Kekoa,
That mahi is barely bigger than the lure! That 1200lb marlin that Maggie Joe caught is for sure the largest fish landed so far in 2009! Better yet is the memories you have of that day at the Sandbar with all those BABES! That is a "clean sweep" for sure!:worship:

Alan,
That Big Eye is definitely on my hit list for this year! Judging by the color of the sashimi, it must have been pretty good size. I started up with BloodyDecks from July 2009 and I have seen several of your catches in that short span.....any of which would have been a memorable one for me! Congrats on a great year so far and hope you end the year just the way you started! BTW, are you going fishing this weekend?
