As a kid we used to shoot off our boat a few miles off shore
I was wondering what California rules and regulations are on that now (30 years later)

I seem to remember the Owner/Capt. of theSeals!
Hot casings on Gell coat…Shootings fun. Didn’t some dudes get busted for shooting near shore at Santa Cruz or something? I believe they were captured on one of the eagle nest cams…?
only consideration I might add is that lead recoils in really unpredictable ways on water so use utmost caution…
Should have gotten a medal.I seem to remember the Owner/Capt. of the
Premier did that! Got caught, fined, lost boat.
At Cat I believe. When boat at PP Landing.
Yeah lost his boat and CG Capt. license too.Should have gotten a medal.
Some cruise ships used to have them on the back deck. Some old yachts dating back to the 1920's often had Skeet Launchers mounted forward.
At least they didn’t shoot back.Back '78 or so, we were down Tanner way catching alberts.
Motored over to SCI to anchor up for lunch and relax a bit.
50' Monk with aft salon, we had a trap launcher mounted up over the cockpit.
We're grillin' burgers and bustin' clays when the navy comes charging around the corner.
They inform us via the loud hailer that if we want to be shooting we need to be a mile off the island.
