Im looking for a smaller jig reel for Wahoo. Has any body test drove these reels on wahoo. The 46" per crank and 24 lbs. of drag seem about right. I'm planning on using 80lb spectra with short top shot in 20 size.

I bought the new Tor 16 as my 40lb reel for my wahoo 40 lb rig. Will give it a try in a few weeks. Have caught wahoo up to 60lbs on my gold trinis 20 and 30s so I am sure the Tor will be just fine.

It is a great choice for a wahoo reel.

I have an alternate to casting spectra...

Fluorocarbon leader does not stretch much. I am going to try 110 feet with a FG knot with spectra with a nail knot on the end of the leader for casting. Should get a better hook set like spectra with out the casting and retrieving hassle.
