    On my way to the gym, I occasionally check out the fishin on the pier. Glad to see the bait size mackie bite is in full force & some lizard fish. Now to the important part of the stroll, which was to test my new 18x270mm zoom lens.
    Have more variety now in shooting pics now.

    That was sure nice timing to test the lens. Looks to me that you're going to like it. 18 to 270, that's crazy, should be a great lens for the boat.

    Hey Harry,
    I'll bet your new lens is a Tamron. I've got the earlier model 18 - 250 and love it.

    Yeap, it is the latest model, smaller & lighter with vibration control & a lock. I got this one because I like the position of the zoom control, which is next to the camera rather than out towards the end of the lens as it is with the Nikkor lens. I can steady the camera much better with my hands close to the body of the camera. The body is a Nikon D300.
