I'm hearing allot of stories of seiners in the local waters for the Yellowfin, I thought they were illegal in American waters. Any thoughts?

20 tons is nothing compared to the volume of fish out there.

On Thursday a spotter plane saw a single school of BFTs that was over 400 tons

    Go fish!

Seiners are used to catch your finbait...if Seiners were illegal there would be no bait docks..

They have different rules also. Bait boats can net where commercial boats can't. Santa Monica Bay, Inside LA/LB harbor. I've seen them wrap bait 50' off the rocks next to Terminal Island prison and very close to Pier J in LB.
