I love mine... It is matched to a Shimano TN-40n, and it will cast anything I use into the next zip code.

does anybody own a seeker pinhead rod? and what are your reviews on using them as a jig stick?
Awesome stick! D8-8ft, I landed a 34lb yellow on it just recently yoyo'ing a scrambled egg 6x. It looked like a U bendo'd! We all thought it was gonna snap but it held up strong, one of my new fav sticks in my arsenal. And can whip cast a mile too!

They are a nice no-nonsense rod. I have the lighter PH-1580 which is rated 15-40lbs. It has a very parabolic action and is a bit on the light side for surface iron. It is more of a 20lb stick and matches well with a Newell 220 for an old school rig. For surface iron in an 8' stick, the D8 is probably the way to go.

the 36 is pretty awesome. i'm building a 36 , and tnt7. i have a factory 36 also. the 36 is great for throwing iron on 25/30lb, and the tnt is going to be heavy yoyo / big baits on 50lb+.
