Interested in getting a new reel for my 20lb flyline rod. Thinking of either a Daiwa Sealine X-SL20 or a Penn Fathom II 15. I've heard both have really good free spool for flylining. I'll most likely be going with 30-40lb braid with 20lb topshot of mono. Stuck between which one to go with. Any suggestions? Possibly open to other reels as well

Penn Fathom II 15 has a very good cast control. I'm not sure about the Daiwa reel.

Both are great reels. I think the Penn Squall is equivalent to the Sealine. The Fathom has an aluminum frame. The Squall 15 has a magnetic cast control like the old 525 Mag, a couple more bearings plus an ARB and a stainless pinion gear.
