    $100,000.oo per bladder?
I'd sell them mine for half that if I didn't need it so often.

I hate to be a witness to the extinction of a beneficial species but we might not be here were it not for a die off.

I will grant you that these were entirely different situations, one natural and the other most likely caused primarily by human beings but irreversible nonetheless. Derp.

I hate that fucking whole Sea Shepherd operation,
Burn there ship is just payback for all the harassment they have given people legally hunting and fishing.

Why is the Mexican Coastguard/Navy did not ram or shoot the pangas of these bastards??? These bunch of menace should not be allowed to rule the ocean and continually pillage those endangered species.....

Have not heard of them harrassing people who were legally fishing yet. Of course if they run out of people illegally doing it I have no doubt that would change.

Cool, lets kill whales because....hey its legal in Iceland. There are no vaquita left and Gill netting for Totoaba in the SOC is depleating fish populations all along the upper gulf. Sea Sheperd whether tree huggers or not are the only ones doing shit to save our oceans and you gotta say, "hope they burn"?

Just like in every organization there are some extreme ones but Im happy they are out there doing a job that no one else is, stopping seiners from fishing protected areas all over the world, something that helps sportfishing.

The Japanese government agree to the whaling moratorium, yet continue under the guise of scientific experiments.
    Hardly honorable.

I'm against nasty commercial fishing all over the world. Witnessing its path and wake of destruction is horrible. The aftermath is disturbing.

I also agree with saving the vaquita. Gives faith in humanity and the good that can be accomplished in this world. Bringing a animal back that is about to become extinct is a good thing. When animals become extinct that is a sign there is something severely wrong with a part if not all of a eco system. The eco system of a area is important. That's what makes a area what it is. The eco system

At a black market street value price up to $100,000. For a totoaba bladder. They don't stand a chance. Really a sad thing. The cost of truly protecting the toataba must be costly at 5020 square miles of nursery and spawing habitat. At such a high value demand which leads to a high amount of illegal commercials doing it. Monitoring is not cheap and add in corruption and things become disastourous. Airplanes are not cheap to fly around. Corruption is worldwide and goes all the way across seas.

I wonder what a average bladder sells for. Whole sale cost from the catcher

I'm not sure that the totoaba hunt is what is killing off the vaquita. Maybe the final couple hundred of them. But the destruction of the species of all fish and mammals in the upper gulf is probably due more to the destruction of the colorado river estuary. And I think every settler in SoCal and the southwest U.S. shares some blame for that.

You should read the story about this particular situation.Pay attention to the part about the Mexican Navy being aboard the Sea Shepard vessel while under attack. They're fighting illegal fishing.I always thought that was a good thing.

California Sealion penis powder has to be 1000 times better than Bengal tiger penis, Tatuoba bladders or bear gall bladder! Just look at how prolific furbags are. Their fecundity is through the roof while these other species are dying out.

How is eating a fishes bladder even a thing? What kind of ignorant shithead would buy into the medicinal value of a fishes bladder?
