Players who make the choice not to practice or play should have their scholarship pulled. No way they boycott if they have a good record or were in the hunt for SEC title.

Team activities contingent on some grad students hunger strike and the president quitting? What a sad state of affairs.

    Agreed.

Would be of great interest to find out who did this and verify it's not a hoax. Willing to die on a hunger strike for someones job, ridiculous.

Heard on the radio the president did step down. First thought is that sets a really bad precedence. Time will tell who or what team does something similar for any reason.

Got to give the university president props for defusing the situation, but quitting does not solve racial relation issues in this country.

Players have a lot of cameras on them.

Their voices are louder than others.

The idea of a boycott scares the hell out of the schools and the NCAA.

Imagine if the 65 basketball teams in the basketball tourney demanded to be paid, the day before the tourney.

They can't cancel a Billion Dollar Event, can they?

Since your talking 65 teams, is that your version of the play in game?:D

This event sets a precedent and makes what you describe entirely possible. If there is little to no time to negotiate or solve the problem, then yes cancel it.

7% of the student body is black. I wonder what % of the football team is black?

30 players are black. looked to be about 100% to me from the pics.

And just think. there will now be ZERO racial problems at missouri because of this. What a wonderful world of idio.....eologues we live in

I think there should be a boycott for the slow, low leaping ability, white guys who get no representation on the basketball teams. Those are the guys who should be getting laid by the cheerleaders.

A group of indoctrinated, weak minded sheep. Used to be an axiom that if you wanted something in this nation you worked your ass off for it. The new paradigm is just to cow and whine until someone gives it to you.

Marx's works talk about basically just being an asshole until your opposition/the majority appease you. Hmmmm?

Well, not being in the televised tourney could hurt their value for the pros. Do you really think they give a rip about racial relations on campus?

It's so much fun watching the young kooks feeding on the old kooks who made the young kooks kooks in the first place. LOL
