We got one!
37 over 26 (just south of the North 9 high spot)
Hit Bonita colored marlin lure, a couple hundred yard past a stringer kelp.
73.3 degree water
Couldn't be more stoked to get a local wahoo on my little 17ft skiff!
*had to chop off his head to fit in the fish hold with the ice! :)

Trolled that whole area today. Green water and sea lions.

Was trolling at 9.5 kts. Ended up going further west found some blue water and a ton of flying fish. Didn't change anything, no hoo. Started north and picked up a yft on the troll. Switched 3/4 to feathers and the wahoo lure picked up a rat yellow going by a paddy.

I was wondering the same thing Bill. I do know that on Friday in the early morning I had 73.4 to 74.4 water on the upper 9, but it then went all the way up to 76.6 to a solid 77 within a few hours at most and when the sun started coming out.

Yeah, the transducer on my skiff is only about 18" under the water. The surface temperature cools down at night and warms up with the sun. Water was 73.3 when we caught the 'hoo but the same area warmed up to 75 and higher later in the afternoon. I also check the temperature with a external gauge regularly during the day.

Way to go Scott! JB sent me a picture yesterday and I was absolutely stoked for you guys. JB is such a solid dude that he dropped off a steak to me today. It's currently marinating and destined for the grill. Thank you for the fish! I'll be fishing next Sunday in hopes of boating one myself.
