Ran solo out of SI, baited up and cleared jetty at 0330. Flat moonlit ride to Sw of 302, nearer to the 230. Trollers in before gray and zzzzzz, 12lb dodo hits the deck. Shut it down and waited. Gets light enough to see the lettuce, about the size of my baittank, with dodo's EVERYWHERE. I filled out my limit and C&R for a while. Fish hit iron, poppers, even boiled on a part of a roast beef sandwich. Best part was not another boat in sight until I called out the #'s. Went looking for yellows for a while, then headed in. On the trailer before noon. Water temp 72.4-73.

Solo limit? Very impressive. I've been meaning to go solo myself while the fish are in close. It can be very gratifying.... but no help with the cleanup is a bitch.

    WTG!
