Took Jason "jscrib" and Keith "piazza" out for a half-day/good time Santa Monica Bay Rockfishing trip, aboard my 23ft "Big Drum".

There was a 1 hour minor Solunar primetime from 6:30am to 7:30am, along with the sunrise at 6:34am. So I knew that first hour of day light was going to be very activity.

Made it to the first little spot around 6:30am, and sure enough the fish were on a really good chew. Caught a 1/2 limit mix bag of Vermilions, Coppers and Brown's within the first hour, then spent the next 4.5 hours searching for the rest of our limits. Ended the day with limits for 3 on the Rockfish and two legal Lingcod.

Here is Jason with a Brown Rockfish that ate a 7 inch Big Hammer swim bait.

Jason with the Jackpot Copper Rockfish.

Jason and Keith with their keeper Lingers...yumyum!!

Pile of tasty Rockfish about ready to get filleted.

The weather and company was great...and I can't wait to get back out there on the big pond.

    HOOK-UP!!

    Till next tide,

Nice job as always Captain Vince! We had stellar fishing last week as well going out tomorrow for a few hours as the kids had a blast last week pulling on fish so they are willing to get up early to get at it again.

Have a great Thanksgiving and I will talk with you over the Christmas Break to hopefully set up a trip with you and Jason.
