Anybody like any boats out of San Pedro or long beach area for this upcoming Monday I need to get in on this action and hopefully catch some yellowfin or blue fin. Any suggestions would be apriciated. Also what rigs what be good for this area? Taking my 16 year old nephew and want to make sure he has fun and doesn't look at his cellphone all day

If it was me, I'd go out overnight sunday to fish monday- both Freedom and Toronado were running these style trips last week.

Freedom is the best boat overall north of San Diego if you ask me. Affordable and they are getting the tuna if you are willing to go on an overnight

Which ever boat you choose make sure it is an offshore trip and not a Catalina trip. Also make sure it is a limited load and you are ok with the limit. Some boats claim 60 is limited which is a joke for offshore.

Growing up I always fished out of Daveys and loved it.

My cousin hooked into something BIG at Catalina and was fighting it for about 40 mins but he was using a rent rod and on one power run the fish bird nested him and was gone . Wonder what it was?maybe a black sea bass??? I really like the native sun i thought the crew was great and so was the captain he was down on the boat helping everyone out tying knots gaff in and untangling ppl all in all a fun day on the water
