Started off the day at around 8AM in the water launching from Cabrillo. Headed out to the SP bait barge and they were closed so we headed over to Nacho's and got some nice dines for our fishing outing. We just got a new Solix on the boat so we started cruising around the rig and didnt see much or catch much. Headed outside the breakwall to 7-Minute and it was just a little too rough so we headed back inside before even dropping lines in. Headed inside the breakwall and hooked up to some nice Sculpin and bass. Then comes the fish of a lifetime. Hooked into a heavy fish, pulling drag hard, fighting it all the way to the boat. Ended up being a Broomtail Grouper probably high 20s lbs. Then off to check some other spots went to inner islands for some Sand Bass decent size and then finished off in Cabrillo Harbor for a 28" Butt. Ending the day on a good note. I'll try to get some pictures up.
