    Jason,

I'm going to be at Orcas for 2 weeks, starting 7/26, and have not chased salmon up there. I'll be on the west side, facing Waldron Island. Any suggestions for locations?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks!

Pt. Doughty, Pt. Disney on Waldron, President Channel on the east side, Pt Lawrence to the east if you want to run that far. Bow Wows everywhere, use a hootchie and hot spot..purple haze has been doing well.

So...I spent two weeks on Orcas, and worked Pt. Doughty, Disney, Lawrence, Parker Reef, Lovers Cove, and both sides of the Presidents Channel, and got NOTHING. Nada. Zip. Zed. SKUNKY. Not one stinkin' bite.

However, all was not lost, as the bottom fishing was great, and the crabbing was pretty good too!

Thanks for all the advice. I'll keep trying when I get up there again.

I just want to piggy back on this thread. I will be up at Samish Island starting next week. I will have access to a small boat. Any suggestions on where and how to catch a salmon? Thanks.
