Offshore San Diego Full Day 5/13

Rode the San Diego out of mission bay on Friday the 13th. Captain and crew were great. They burnt a lot of fuel and looked hard for fish and got us our shots at fish throughout the day. The boat landed two fish with one being a 160lb model. I got the other fish on a 320 gram nomad streaker jig on 15 feet of 80lb flouro to 80lb braid. It was a schooly around 30lbs but I was super stoked to be one of the lucky ones this time. The big fish came on the sinker rig sardine, not sure what lb test but it was on heavier gear. I'd plan on fishing 80lb if you can.

Way to go. Sounds like the fleet has had their hands full trying to relocate biting fish. What color streaker? And did you guys see a lot of fish throughout the day?

Yeah I got picked up twice and they were both on the drop I believe.
