Gonna make it short...got to get up at 3:30am for work !! Launched out of HB grabbed 1/2 scoop dines from Nacho and headed to Cat for squid from the Carnage.

Made it to the west end of Clemente had to stay way wide due to live fire. Rolled around to the backside and flew the yummy. Picked up a small Yellowfin is all. Lots of other people doing the same ! Water is blue and about 68.

Anchored in West cove ..absolutely beautiful conditions. Went 2 for 5 on nice sized White Seabass and hooked a 30lbs Yellowtail and a nice Halibut !!!

Found and amazing rock fish spot and bagged amazing sized lings, reds, and others !! Headed for the barn !! A really really nice trip for us !! Tight lines boys and girls !! Here’s a few pics

Nice job on the fish dude!

But just a heads up... West Cove is a no anchor area. It's restricted by the navy. They might not check it but there's a reason people don't typically spend the night at west end.

I asked them about it before and it has to do with the under water cables. $250 billion dollars worth, to be exact, don't risk it! You can fish it. Just don't anchor there.

Navy's secrets, maybe - it's just what I've been told.

All I know is, I go down to the west end of San Clemente a lot, and between the live fire exercises at castle rock, the no anchor restrictions, and the gun boats, this area is no joke.

    Great fishing right there!

$250 “billion” cable? Maybe time to call Cox for an estimate. That seems really expensive.

Perfectly legal to fish there. Also fine to anchor to the immediate south of it. Check the rules at scisland.org. I wouldn't worry about it too much as you didn't pull up cables or anything. But I thought I'd let you know because the navy's been complaining about us recently.

They say variety is the spice of life, and if so, you are on fire! I love mixed bag reports, and that has to be some kind of "slam".

    Congrats!
