Launched this morning at 6 and picked up a half scoop and headed out to try and find those bluefin that were around before the last storm. There was a stiff offshore breeze till about 8 but then the ocean laid down beautifully.
I started west of the canyon and searched most of the day from the 302 to the corner and then up the ridge. The fishiest area was in the canyon but just mammals and birds from what I saw and water was 62. Warmest water I found was northeast of the 182 which was 64 and slightly off colored but never saw any fish. Did 125 miles and 20 gallons for nada.
Made my way back into the bay and first bait down got a decent 28 inch butt. I dumped another larger butt at the boat before heading in. Beautiful day on the water, good luck and stay safe!
