WFO on the tilapia! Every cast returned with a fish. Great time if you can stand the heat!

What's the cleanest area to fish there? I heard some parts are really bad.

What part of the sea were you fishing?

You should try to catch a bucket load of the three inch talapias then use them for corvina bait. That is assumeing there's still some corvina left to catch...

why are some tilapia black and orange and some are like yours, almost bluegill/bass colored? How was the smell there?

Thanks for the report. It's been a long time since someone had reported from Salton Sea.

Wasn't but a several years ago before the big die off that this was one of the best fisheries in the United States. You talk about some big Corvina's being caught. It's good to hear that the fishery is not dead after all.

sounds fun for a family day of picnic and fishing. I've never fished there so can you share tackle and bait requirements and technique?
btw, what's the limit on size and quantities?

    Thanks

Nice. I fished there a few weeks ago....it starts getting really hot around 10ish. You need to get there pretty early, like around 5AM to get a good spot on the jetty because it will get crowded. Otherwise, you'll be closer to the sand....and it smells bad there with some dead fish.

Oh, 5am is not family friendly. We are Asians after all so 5am becomes 8am or later with Asian time factored in. LOL

I was fishing the recreational area jetty. Easy on the squints picture guy. Talk shit get hit. Carpenters don't play. Keep the comments to yourself.

LMFAO Calm down there tough guy. I wasn't making a joke, just stating your glasses were similar to 'squints'. If you want the 'comments kept to yourself' then don't post on the internet.
