Thanks for the heads up on the thru hulls. From what I was getting measurement wise it looked like the outside was the same just a smaller inside and was gonna have to make a spacer. Now I've gotta try to find deck drains to accommodate the 1.5" hose mine are 2" thru out and still fit the factory location. Yes I plan on putting valves on the thru hulls can't believe they aren't there.
The work you are doing looks superb.
Got the hard top structure back from powder coating today.
Hard top is on, and Henry got some wiring done this afternoon.
Made the radar and antenna pedistal. Dropping off to powder coat in the am. Got the engines and light wired. 13 days left until the bot leaves for Cabo.
The hard top looks exceptionally beautiful! My I ask where you got the hard top from and also the place where you have the T top frame powder coated? Thanks
Thank you very much.
When I bought the boat from Tom Rodgers (his number is 714 200-6366 ) he had the Hard top and Radar also so I was a package deal. I think he is still making them?
The powder coating was done at Embee performance in Santa Ana (714) 546-6907. The owner Dave is a boat guy and will take extra care of anyone with boat parts.
Thank you for the info Dan.
The last few weeks have been hell! I forget what food and sleep are and no time to post progress pics. Getting the final provisions for the big boat and leaving for Mexico tomorrow night. I will post up some better, more detailed pictures when we get to Cabo.
Looks good Dan
This should be a better link??
Great work! I'm curious about the big boat operation in Cabo? Sailfish as a tender? Seasonal?
Matt, we run the 96' Ditmar Donaldson up an down the west coast from Costa Rica to Glacier Bay. Last year was the inland passage from Seattle to Alaska and this year is Baja, Sea of Cortez. We tried to do a trip three weeks ago to Socorro island but we got blown out and made our way up to Loreto instead.
Yes, the Sailfish is our tender
When will you be going back to the Inland Passage in Alaska?
Probably not heading north again for a few years. Bringing the boat home from Baja tomorrow. I have been down here for 8 weeks and I am ready to get home.
Awesome work! Nicest Sailfish on the water
