Need One!
Received the news yesterday morning from a close friend/ex crewman of mine. Local W.P. boat was fishing Dungeness out of SE/Kodiak and lost two really good young guys Thursday night, unfortunately one was the owners/skippers son. I had the pleasure of knowing him while living and fishing in the community. I'm sure the media will soon release the story officially. Took the skiff to run to town and do some beach combing, brought the dog too. Headed back to the boat and winds/tides brought in enough weather to flip the zodiac. Very sad! I wanted to share this because commercial or not, we all are tied to the salt here! The ocean is ruthless and as we have all learned, never think for a second that we have the advantage. Very sad day, but everyone will have wonderful memories to share of them!
