Sitting at Fisherman's landing right now watching the boats come in,the Indy should be here in a few. Didn't get to fish this trip down but next time. Oh by the way for everyone back home in the fog, it's 60 degrees at 4 in the morning and will be 80 today, damn I don't want to go home.

Great, thanks for the weather report. I'm looking at heavy fog and 41 degrees right now. Ugh.

More LR guys up here than you think, but few on any message boards. Only good shop we had closed. More in the Bay Area too.

Although I still browse the board because of all the great times I had, I'm pretty much retired as of this year from LR. If any Sac/norcal guys are looking to score some cow gear, send me a pm. Just started slowly selling everything. Fly fishing now!

Oh come on. Gotta love Sac town. I'm a so cal transplant and been here in Natomas for 14 years. I drive down 2 times a year to san diego to fish. Yeah our weather suck, but who wants to be in san diego year around with all that good weather, spur of the minute fishing and good food. I will take my fog and crappy valley air any day of the week and months of planning to fish. Lol

I CAN SEE THE SUN THIS MORNING!!!

I'm on the website about once a day. I typically make one multi-day trip a year, with our charter group. Last few years it has been on the Royal Star. I bought a few of Sactotuna's rods a couple years back, thanks Jim.

I don't go on cow trips (although I own one 50W, one 30W, one 30, and 3 20's). Cow trips are longer than my wife will let me be away. About the only fish that my wife will eat are Calif halibut, WSB, and wahoo, so our current 7-day trips are good for her.

Pacific Extreme Sports is still in business on 24th street, but it operates warehouse-style now. That leaves Wil-Fish Tackle up in Auburn and Fisherman's Warehouse. I believe Sacramento Pro Tackle handles some reel maintenance and rod repair, also.

I live about an hour southwest of SAC (depending on traffic) in Walnut Creek. Most of the LR fisherman I know from the area are good people who know how to have fun! Would enjoy sharing the rail with a tramptown fisherman anytime...

I know a couple more guys. I'm thinking in a couple months here I'll send out a note to the Tramptown guys here and see if we can all meet up somewhere for a cold beverage.

I'm always up for a beverage and some LR stories. But you might want to allow a lot of time, some of these guys can really go on.

Not in Sac, just a little further North. I live up near Redding. Nice to see some others in the Northern half of the state.

I live 3 hours up north, but spend a lot of time in West Sac and Davis where our kids/grandkids live. Does that count? I only go on one 8-day per year. It'll have to do.

There's four us in the general area, I'm in El Sobrante (hour southwest of Sac.), one in Folsom, one in Manteca and the fourth in San Francisco that do at least one 8 to 11 day trip each year and as chance will have it we all drink Beer and love to talk Long Range. Just name the time and place and we'll attempt to come share some stories and a few brews.
We are on the RRIII July 4th. 8 day this year.
