How will i mount strong rod holders on the front of the boat in the picture? Do mounting plates needed to be welded on my boat? Thank you for any help guys! I need rod holders on the front of the boat.

Go with the Scotty's, plenty strong for your boat. My buddy has the Folbes on his Hewscraft and are well made.too.

Best way is welding some on with brackets but the Scotty's work too.

I had six Scottys on my 15' gregor, I drilled and bolted through the side just below the gunnel. If I remember right I had to get some 3/8" thick plastic from Tap to space the mount out a bit because the gunnel interfered with the rod holder dropping down into the mount. I found a few pics to give you a idea how I mounted them. Don't buy the Bass Pro brand, junk I replaced them with Scottys. Great little skiffs, we had ours inshore to the Sierras,,,gregg

Besides welding, you could bolt a grab rail to the top edge of the gunnel, then mount some stainless clamp one rod holders to the rail. Use a rope teather to your rods ......, learning that can be an expensive lesson.

You're not going to find a plug and play rail for that boat, more than likely need to have it made.

If your drilling/bolting SS rails to the boat, why not just drill/bolt the rod holders mounts? Seems like a extra cost and step . A fab shop could easily weld Alum. rails to the boat and then use clamp style holders, that would be the cleanest set up, if that's what your wanting to use,,,gregg
