I'm looking to throw Irons with this along with poppers, colts, and other jigs. The Shimano Terez looks very nice but I wanted to see what the knowledgeable people of bd have to say. I am getting a slammer for my local settup surf, Peir, and other local fishing. Looking to fish anything from big bats and sharks from surf to Tuna and yellowtail on boats. Looking to fish at least 50# or more. I also have a Lexa, and Accurate BV2 500, and Avet HXW Raptor which I have used for local but the valiant isn't good for the Surf along with the Lexa. The hxw is a beast but way to overkill for surf. The hxw brought me a 70lb batray in 2 mins (says alot considering I'm a 13 yr old kid). Anyway any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you

If you go with the:
5500 size= CARBWII3065S70 [7 feet]
6500 size= CARBWII4080S70 [7 feet]
or
6500 size= CARBWII4080S76 [7 foot 6 inches, 2 piece take apart at handle]

I really don't know much about these rods so it's hard to grab one at the price of around $200. It's also hard to chose one when they don't come in 8ft. I thank you for feedback but I'm not to sure how these Carnage's would work for me.

My first two fishing rods were gifts and they were first generation bluewater carnage rods 800L and 800H. 800L is a 20#\25# rod and the 800H is a 40#\50# rod. They bend nice and come with Fuji components. If your not trying to spend a lot on a rod I would recommend them

Note that although those were indeed very nice rods, they were never available in spinning models.

My dad got a Slammer 6500 last year and matched it with a CARBWII4080S70 sight unseen. He loves it and it is a beast. It is super light and horsed in big yellowtail no problem. When I got my hands on it I was slinging Salt Pro Minnows farther than any of the iron guys on the bow with ease. Of course it is much easier to just strong arm the cast with spinning without worry of backlash so it's not really apples to apples. In hindsight I wish he would have gotten the 7'6" but the 7' is great.
