Looking for recommendations on a good bait/yo-yo rod for my Mxl 6/4 2 speed. I mainly go on full days targeting yft but I want to be able to go on 1.5 days.

Okuma PCH-C-761XH 30 - 60 lb. Can go with a 7', 7'6" or 8' versions depending on your preference. I have the 7' version and it is not a refined rod but it is a very nice and capable rod for the money. Amazon commonly has them offered for less than MSRP. I have an SX Raptor on my 7' version.

I am Seeker fan.....you probably want a 30 to 40 pound range rod. Take a look at the PinHead series the D-8 (8ft) or for a 7' look at the classic or black steel......it would be great on an 8 ft Hercules 30-60, but those are pretty pricey.
Also take a look at the new Graftechs.....they are very good.
    Tight lines!

MX series (non Raptor) is a 20-30 lb reel IMHO - 40 in a pinch depending on species and structure

i fish 40 & 50 lb on my MXJ and MXL Raptors

i have my MXL (non Raptor) on a calstar grafighter 700ML 7' (20-40 lb rated) and highly recommend it - i just used this combo on 30lb to land a 40lb-plus bluefin on surface sardine and it performed like a dream

if you are stuck on budget remember avet raptor and calstar grafighters are very easy to sell down the road and buying used can save a lot if you have time to look for the deals

Mxl non raptor 2 speed reel would work nice on a okuma PCH-C-701XH. I like 7 ft rods on my mxl reels, this rod is a 30-60 rod that you can pick up from amazon for about $200 with free shipping. Nice rod with alps reel seat and nice guides

I have my Mxl paired with Phenix 808 black diamond for that application and have 520 yards of 50lb test braid on it with 25 yards of 40lb top.
