Hey guys. I’ve heard from some friends that I can’t be contacted….Well, here you go…My number is 619-995-2628 (BOAT). I’ve had the same number for years. You can leave a VM or send a text. Or, if you would rather email me, my email address is [email protected].

San Diego Boats survived longer than most, but I should have waved the white flag long before I did. Pride, ego, the Obama-rama years, tight credit restrictions, job losses, and blah, blah, blah, everything else….made it almost impossible to survive the last few years in our industry…..and in the end, I just couldn’t make it work.

Here is some insight… Every boat, part, piece, or drop of oil is taxed by the feds, the state, the city, and the port….even the labor. Then a percentage goes to insurance, inspections, permits, and everything else under the sun. Every employee or sub-contractor who ever worked for me got paid every dime they earned. Most vendors, but especially the small ones, got paid. The bigger companies are being paid as I can. The two or three folks who still had outstanding balances due when I was forced to move out (read couldn’t afford it anymore), are being paid over time. I could file BK and flake, but I’m not that guy. I WILL make it right. The outside commenters and observers just don’t know.

Over the years, I have helped hundreds of people buy boats, get financed, fixed their boats and given all I could ever give to Friends of Rollo, Make-a-Wish, donated to tournaments, and folks who just couldn’t afford it. Wish I still could. Someday again, I hope. I am not the kind to give up, but it was a sudden final collapse that made me close the doors without being able to finish up the loose ends.
If I have wronged you, offended you, or done something you need made right…please CALL me, or email me. This isn’t the place to do it. It may take a while, but I’ll take care of you.

I grew up working on sportboats, and ended up selling Parker, Yamaha, Defiance, Shamrock, and a host of other fine products to some really good friends over the years. When this crazy time passes, I hope to be friends with all of you in the end.

I am still semi-in business as an independent rep for boats, motors, parts, and the shooting sports / firearms industry. I will help anyone as best I can. I coach Little League, volunteer with scouts, and do a lot of other family work... I am on the road a lot, so I don’t get to check in here much.

Again, please call me or email me….My heartfelt apologies are sent out.
    -Rob

Don't know the back story, but if you need/want to do some odd boat work, I could use some help chasing a small transom leak. Might turn into an annual maintenance. Cash in hand for quality work. Good luck on making things right.

I beg to differ, this is precisely the right place to discuss these problems. You advertised and i'm sure also sold boats that you promoted on BD so why not also discuss the what it's like to do business with Rob Sanford.

I have seen this commercial before. You will fuck someone over again and blame someone else like you always do.

Anyone who does business with this douche bag deserves to get ripped off. (after reading this)

Why does BD put up with this shit? This has always been the best website in the fishing world, but supporting this douche doesn't make sense.
