We will be heading to SQ in a week, staying at the Old Mill. Can anyone recommend some places to eat besides Don Eddies & Old Mill?

    Thanks

JArdines is just down the road and AWESOME.

Old Mill has really good food also since the management change a few years back.

JARDINES X - 3... very good food and exceptional service. jardines hotel next door is also the place to stay. super clean, great beds and unbelievable showers with unlimited hot water and great water pressure and great management. lots of parking with a night watchman.

Santa Isabella is good. Local cops where there eating so you know it was good. (Other than donuts right?)
But as I remember I had chorro for a week when I got back! But I also did street tacos too that trip, so I cant definitively say which one was the culprit. Hmmmmmm

Just do jardines. I'm actually here now. Lol.

Heres a tip if going to the old mill area... I always have taken the exit with the old mill sign from the highway and then driven down that washboard road to the old mill or jardines. MUCH better to take the NEXT exit and its smooth sailing all the way to the same destination.

This has my vote. The Margarita pitcher is deadly and the Haiba in chile and butter is Benchmark...If you drink more than one pitcher of the margarita's they have a night vision goggles to help find you after you stumble off into the night.......

Jardines is good, the old Jardines was better...
El Faro has a kick-ass breakfast.

The skipper's wives also do good box lunches and breakfast burritos.

I went to a hole in the wall place with Juan for tacos vapor in the morning. I love chicharon in salsa with eggs. Hit up your locals for the best at the moment, because you know how transient places are in Mexico.

Santa Isabella has good chillaquilles, but the rest of the menu is lacking.

you guys probably know, but I was there last weekend. Old Mill road is paved to the restaurant. that 3.2 miles of dirt road from the highway is gone....way cool if your pulling a boat. they were painting the yellow down the middle Monday.

jardines, and old mill for sure are great eats. also if your into seafood. drive pass papalote, where it curves to the left there's a restaurant on the left....can't miss it. old school Baja restaurant.
