Heading past the breakwall at Anaheim Bay at high tide with some swell at about 8am. Water temp in the bay at 61.8. Slight wind, but smooth sailing to Izors. Found a couple other boats already working the reefs, worked away from them to the east. Passed some debris on the way; branches and tumbleweeds. Found a reef and promptly broke off! Grabbed another rod and found the bass cooperating. Sandies and Calicos mixed in, the final count Sandies 10, Calicos 6. Calicos were hitting hard, and kept coming back for more when they unbuttoned. The bigger grade was earlier, the later bass were smaller. Hmmm... The water temp rounded up around 62.4 for most of the day, overcast, and windier than I expected (gusts to around 8 mph), swells started about 2-4 ft, ended around 3-5 ft. Water clarity slightly green, but overall not bad. Stayed till about 12:30, most boats left around 10am, I stuck around and found the bass still interested. All "Hook-up" baits today. They catch everything! See the starfish! Merry Christmas to all, and to all tight lines!
