To do it correctly, it needs to be done fro. The tip down, so the guides would all need to be removed and re-done. That being said, a better option, is remove cord, and put reel seat fron the back, abd cork tape grip covered in heat shrink.

Strip the blank and start all over? What would a project like this cost?

you could also remove the swine and use a reel seat and a slick butt , with out removing the guides . or a composite butt..

Another choice that does not include stripping the blank would be a cork puppy or similar clamp the cord. If you need a foam fore grip try two layers of the Cal Star cork tape and the Batson heat shrink over it. Then use 1 layer of the thinner cork tape for the rest of the rod. Add the correct clamp and try it. If you do it this way and don't like and really need a reel seat you can strip the rod and rebuild it the way you want it.

none.
It could be done..

If you need to replace reel seat with Hypalon
top and bottom of reel seat, recommend rewrap.

reel seat and bottom Hypalon can be done through bottom.
Or I do it with "Cold shrink tube" little costly.
