I fished the Relentless when it was the Seeker and I was a fan of the boat. We got kicked out of SCI last year and were able to find a bunch of YFT for limits.

I was on the Condor yesterday and we started off in Dana on the inside. We moved a lot and looked hard but we had a really tough day. We ended up with 6 or 8 fish. I don't think many people caught a ton of fish.

I stand by what I said. Why would I drive an hour south and pay 200 more to fish in my backyard. Ok let's just say you are sure there is fish in Dana don't get there rudely drive your boat through the parking lot where all the private boats are at. Then dip your lines for five minutes change mind and rudely drive your boat back through the parking lot. The once you're out of the traffic come over the loud speaker and say hey "I heard there was some fish here yesterday it was worth a shot oh well".

I know they are not all up in dana sorry I didn't explain everything. Fish down south of the border are mostly small and no BFT that's what I meant. He was mad the didn't go south

If the OC coast bit yesterday and he had taken the boat south for dick the captain would be getting mofo'd too.

If I were on a SD overnite trip I would prefer to fish in US waters, larger limits, more fishing time, downhill ride home

The boats make way more money when they catch fish... Why do people think skippers would purposely run to an area knowing it wouldn't happen.. It isn't good for them or you..
If your not using your own expertise to find fish and you fish a lot everything from a skunk trip to a full speed trip will happen

Really? Well now you know I guess.

Just for comparison....I once fished that boat a long tima ago. It was called the Top Gun. We went 90 miles south and got the stripe. The 1/2 day boat out of h and m had limits of yellowfin that day. Must be the boat and not the captain. Lol.

It happens dude. Fishing was tough yesterday.

I know everyone probably thinks I'm exaggerating. Wish the other 17 were here to chime in. Especially the guy the guy with the $300 rod that the deck hand snapped in half.

Have you looked at the counts last 3 days. They have not been very good at all. Mike is a good captain.

The broken rod is an issue all in itself, the boat should resolve that with the owner.

As far as the bad fishing it happens.

when I get it ready I'll let you know you can come for free. We can park it next to the 200 other boats in Dana point catch no fish and we will see what you say.

I was on the Grande out of Point Loma yesterday - we tried the same area. We didn't catch any tuna, only some small yellowtail and dorado. We saw a shit ton of tuna out there.

Did you count the number of San Diego boats out there? Your skipper made the right decision to go north. He can't make the fish eat our baits.

If this happened to me I don't think I would ever ride a sport boat again :ashamed:

By the way the fish in my avatar was caught (get this) 8 miles out of Dana last week.
    You should of been there.

Friday the fish were going off out of dana. Yesterday and today most of the boats caught virtually nothing. Fish move, you do realize they have fins right? The captains job is to try his best to put you on fish. Sounds like he chased fridays numbers, looked at the area with his sonar, probably talked to some of the other boats and realized the fish moved. So why stick around? Other than private charters, I do not know many skippers that come down and introduce themselves.
