I am looking for a reel to pair with my Super Seeker 804 rated 12-20#. What are your recommendations on good, better and best options? Thank you!

Good: Daiwa Sealine 20/3. or Penn 525Mag

    Better: Avet SX, Fathom 15

    Best: TN10/12

I guess this is a pretty traditional looking list. Although I'd say the Penn 525Mag or a Pro Gear 255 is really tops. On paper they might be considered lesser but in practice they're perfect.

Although you don't specify, for the line class you mention, there is no need for a 2-speed, and since casting weightless anchovies is a likely application, you are probably better off with a star drag than a lever drag.
Good- Penn Squall SQL12- Graphite frame, but perfectly fine for 12-20 lines [$149]
Better- Penn Fathom FTH12- metal frame [$199]
Best- Penn Torque TRQ12- the ultimate anchovy reel; casts as well as a vintage Newell 220, but with modern drag, gears, handle, etc, plus choice of three gear ratios [$449].
If the line capacity of tiny reels makes you nervous, all of the above "12" size reels are available as "15" size, which adds about 20-percent more line capacity with minimal castability decrease.

Considering the caliber of the rod, definitely go with the Trinidad 12A/ 14A. I personally have mine with a 14A and casts anything a country mile.

I'm surprised no one has recommended any level wind reels. Thanks for the replies, keep them comming!

It's a light bait stick so you're getting recommendations based on that..
