Well, how was it?

Went fishing Saturday with Alex.
Great day of boating with nice seas and weather.
Water was 57-61 degrees. Fished plastics and jigs.
Tried deep and shallow. 2 tiny RF for Alex and then we started catchinga few Macks'.
Very nice day of boating.
We'll keep at.

The hoist is great...nothin better for putting heavy stuff like ice on the boat or offloading barrels..
It saved my back many times..

In person, it looks a lot better. Those two straps are massive; as you wait they slip one on fore, the other aft, then they tighten them--slowly and lift just a bit, making sure they have the balance point. When they do the lift, it really is very, very secure looking and performing. Check me on this, but I don't think they EVER had a mishap with that set-up. Just be sure you get back in at the end of the day while they are still operating to get her lifted back on the trailer. I highly recommend the lift at Redondo, I can't see any flaw in it's design or performance.

Gone now (I guess), but there was a sling like this in use at Norms Landing. Used both many times, never a problem.

Over 50 years ago for me. Back in the day those hoists launched and retrieved dozens and dozens of boats a day.

I have seen them drop couple but that was operator error.
