Recreational Espionage 101 being in the loop-er

Some of what your about to read might sound strange but its all true.

March 28 2012 I received a text message from an associate of mine who will only be known as "M". An area that we had targeted some months ago had been the subject of a recon mission by other agents. Recent correspondence with these other agents provided intelligence that the targets we sought were at said location. On many occasions the agents involved as well as myself have traded information, coordinates and other valuable data. You see recreational espionage is a two way street.

Because of the current circumstances both M and I were in a unique position to capture our targets. I had a rendevous point set up with another agent, one we have used many times but as I waited I realized he would not be attending this meeting. Instead it had become a drop site of sorts.

All I had to do was unscramble the numbers and use an algerian coordinate system. This should be easy.

Next I had to stop at an old friends shop to get some fire power for our mission.

    He declined to be interviewed.

The next rendevous point was with M at his boat "the Looper" Anytime your at the launch ramp it can be sketchy. Your wide open and in plain site. If your cover gets blown the mission is over..This time it was worse than usual. M sent another text, one of the bad guys had sent us a message of sorts. Another agents boat had been dragged up onto the ramp...

    ..and destroyed in broad daylight

Luckily we made it to the open ocean without incident.

Our first drop site was empty. There must have been a leak? Someone must have informed our targets that we were on the way. We had other coordinates, intel and of course our intuition...

After a couple of deployments we put some of our targets into custody.

Lets see how tough these guys are after spending a little time in the cooler :D

    Agents Jason aka Nigel Toughnel

    and Ali aka Wolfman Jack

Had a group on the interweb called FD. It provided a few locations for us to check out. Which resulted in a few captures as well.

A even dozen targets were captured and made for a successful mission.

Our biggest adversary was mother nature. She forced us to trim our 10 hour mission into just a couple of hours of recon. In the end our main target

    This guy

Gave us a couple chances to get him but inevitably gave us the slip.

As usual M declined to be photographed as he is involved in other covert missions. He is a highly skilled agent with a nice boat that gets excellent fuel economy. He is also a gracious host and someone I proudly call my friend. Thanks for another great mission M ;)

So you didn't have to use a squid light.
All I see is straight carnage.
    Lingcod can be elusive.
Underwater cam should be the next thing you buy.
Killer report thanks for the read.
I thought it was going to be about a lizardfish :D.
I was pleasently surprised with a good fish report.
    Squid around?
    Good weather sure does help.
At least you didn't get skunked!
    You are the man.
