Same company, Gear Aid, makes this repair kit, comes with one Gore Tex patch and I got a few more for some other items I needed to fix.Along the same thread though... the stupid liner always seems to come undone from around the cuffs -- especially if you fold em down. Sometimes the rubber splits here too. Any folk remedies?
China, Good Quality?????? To whose standard's, China's??? Ever since Xtratuf was made in China, You would be lucky to get 3-4 years from their boots (considering you fish a lot!!) The Xtratufs that were made in the USA would last 10+ years. I've had 2 pair of the USA made ones for close to 25 years. I've went through 5+ pairs of the China ones in the past 18 years. The China made one's DON'T even come close to the quality of the ones made in the USA.Xtratufs are made in China for many years now. Good quality
The knock off Xtratufs made in China are low quality. And might even come with the real Xtratuf warranty card and instructions and customer service information
Owned one pair of Xtratufs from age 17-27. Before, a few other boots. With inserts after a few years in the Xtratufs. Folded down but never tore.
Live in warm weather now. But hear from a frustrated distributor over 80% of Xtratufs coming in, are knock offs. Thin walled
And I believe you are right. Even real Xtratufs made in China are lower quality then when they were made in the US.

I have been using simple green,By the time to read this, you're probably regretting you even posted this question. But, here's a response that I hope you will find helpful: Clean the boots using dish soap and a brush. Make sure you get all the blood and scales off. After drying, spray with ArmorAll. Let dry and your boots will look new/reconditioned again.
