first of all, let me say I'm ready to pull the trigger. Looking to purchase a raymarine axiom pro 9" mfd w/real vision 3D 1kw display/multi function unit and a raymarine single/all in one b275 1000 thru hull bronze transducer w/fairing block (gonna get radome later).
    My question:
Has anyone of you helpful folks ever used this unit, if so, how do you like it and are their any alternatives that are just as good or better you suggest.
    My position:
I usually spend most of my time fishing offshore looking for Pelagics with good success but would really love to start focusing on CAT, SCI and venturing into that BFT bite at SCI. I'm a transom mount ducer kinda guy and ready to upgrade finally. I have a 225 aquasport explorer and I love it (trailered). I would prefer to buy a multifunction package with radome for financial reasons and forget about the real vision/3D so I'm ready ready to go but I also don't want to cheap out. The b275 is $1800 alone, is it worth it? Any and all suggestions or comments would be much appreciated. I plan on keeping this sled for at least another 6 to 8 years.
    Thanks, Kyle

Kyle....you need the RV Ducer to get all the fancy stuff. The 275 is just chirp(well killer chirp!!) Get both Ducers and you will have serious system!

The Axiom is fast and sleek and lots of great customizable set ups. I think anymore they are all really good and is just your preference.

    Congrats on the upgrade!

Ran a pair of Axiom 12” last summer. Really liked them. Fast, easy to customize the screens, tons of options. Also ran their transom mount ducer. Much over trolling speeds and we lost bottom. Know a couple others with similar issues. Id pass on the transom Mount, but I’d look at a thruhull in a heartbeat.

Going thru hull for sure, just cant decide on the b 275 alone 1000w or the dual ducers for side vision RV 3d feature 600w. I want the side vision and 3d but dont want to miss out on the high clarity chirp of the b275 1000w ducer. I'm gonna make my decision at fred hall long beach once i get a chance to see and ask questions. Thanks

Our TM-265 holds bottom really well at speed on a solid, fishable day weatherwise. The skill of the installer on the transom mount is key IMO. I'm just getting 2 of the 12" so I'm VERY excited to see how the axiom perform. Everything I've seen from the system is top notch.

Its all about the ducer man! Get the 1000w and dont mess around. You will be sorry getting a 600w.

The B275 is a beast. Thru hull IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO. The wide beam on the 275 is great for seeing tuna

Measure 10 times and cut small when you cut the fairing block. It takes time. If you screw up I have a few spare blocks as the 260,265,270,275 all share the same block!

How's the install going? Did you look at the newer all in one ducer from Raymarine? Its only 600 Watts. But looks like it does it all. ??? I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the same system.

Going well. Got my holes drilled and fairing block ripped and ready to go. Should be done with ducer this weekend. I was thinking about that ducer but decided to go with the 1kw.

Quick update to loosing bottom on the RV-100 transducer. Your mounting too LOW. Just let the ducer BARELY below the hull and slightly lower on the tail end will get you 20+ mph using Sonar as the freq choice.

The new system works awesome!!! Trial run went great and I love all the features that the axiom offers. B275 is amazing. Can't wait to take it offshore.
