Any opinions about cutting down a rctb80xxh to 7’6” and fishing 100lb vs just going with the rctb70xxxh( other than the obvious length difference)?Would the cut down 80xxh be able to handle 130lb?

Pretty sure they are coming out with 7'6" models, would be interesting to know if they are the same mandrel and or just the same blanks cut different ways.

I will have the 7'6" models in Long Beach at the Fred Hall event in March.
RCTB76XXH, XXXH, RCJB90H, XXH, XXXH.. This is the first place we will introduce these blanks to the public.. Sam at Island Tackle will have them on sale at his booth. We have got a lot of folks ask for them.. Why not add 5 more models to the 500 models we already offer>>LOL
One of the reasons we did the 80XXH is so folks could cut to the length desired. All I did was add a foot to the existing 70XXH that Salty helped us design .I have 3 different rods built on that blank (RCTB80XXH-CG), 8', 7'9" and the 7'6". I will have all 3 models on display in Long Beach..
Come by and see our 60' display at Fred Hall in the Rod Builders Depot Area..
Thanks again for all the support you show the Batson Family Product lines..
