for you rail rodders that like longer than 7 footers, here ya go, this is the same as my SD70XXH or the RS RCTB 70XXH but in an 8 foot blank so you can cut down to 7.9 or 7.6 foe a longer rail rod same great action as the SD 70XXH

That marbling looks killer! Like an old world map/globe coloration. Really nice looking build! Batson blanks are really nice I am happy they are expanding their lineup to include some more blanks that fit the bill here in SD!

I'm not sure Rick, it's usually 2-3 mos after the prototypes, hopefully before the start of next cow season

Ooo the hypalon sounds exciting, is it the soft spongy type or the more dense hard kind (hopefully the latter)?

Just stumbled onto this thread again. I remember when the 8’ XXH was introduced. Cutting it down at the butt by 6” yields a 7’6” XXH. Have you, Bill, fooled around with cutting some off the tip, say down to a 14 tip, for a stiffer rod?

Bill, do you still have these rods? I’d like to come by and take a look at them if possible. Thanks.
